Jeff Tatlow

My name is Jeff Tatlow and I would like to share my aviation experience with you. At 40 I started my aviation journey later in life. About 8 months ago I decided 2 things: #1 I need a new hobby. #2 I don’t like having money in my bank account. So with that criteria, I knew aviation was the way to go.
I have actually always been a nervous flyer and at 40 years old I figured what better way to get over a fear of flying than by flying all the time. I mean what’s the worst that can happen. Being a bit of a control freak it definitely helps to be behind the controls.

My short-term goal in aviation is to complete my private and take my wife on weekend getaways to Santa Barbara. Finding a way to beat the drive from Sacramento to Santa Barbara will be great.
In the long term, I would like to buy a plane and continue with my training. I don’t see flying as a part of a future career but you never know.
For FLYJCT I am hoping to share my experiences with you, and provide a platform for you to find training material, aviation supplies, FAA links, etc.
